Pavilion Park Pool Renovation Project

Exciting news ahead! The Pavilion Park pool facility is getting a complete makeover! The renovation will include upgraded decking and plaster, new glass fencing, fresh paint, and stylish new furniture, all designed to create a vibrant and modern space for residents to enjoy. The facility is scheduled to close on April 21st to begin renovations.  Please see below for project updates and notifications:


  • 4/21/25 - The Pavilion Pool facility is closed beginning on April 21st for renovations to begin.

    • Pool, spa, and wader draining will start Monday, April 21st and conclude Tuesday, April 22nd

    • Demolition starts Wednesday the 23rd . Demo will take approximately 4-6 hours and will start at 8:00am that day. Once the machine starts, it will be noisy and can’t be shut off until completion.

5/15/25 - Deck demo is continuing and is expected to be continuing through the end of May

 
 

5/23/25 – Starting Tuesday, demo and installation of the 10 skimmers and autofills will begin and continue through the end of May. A progress meeting with the vendor was held this week and the timeline is still on track. Coping has been ordered. Within the next couple of weeks, the security camera vendor will be trenching and installing new conduit. Now that most of the demo has been completed, the access control and electricity vendors will also be scheduled to conduct inspections to ensure everything in working order prior to deck resurfacing.

 
 

6/6/25 – This week, additional minor demo was completed to create space for the new skimmers to be installed. Next week, the skimmers will be installed and the pool equipment will undergo a pressure test. Additionally, repairs to broken conduits and trenching for new camera conduits will take place. The coping should arrive in the next few weeks


6/23/25 – Broken access conduits were repaired and reburied and new skimmers were installed and put under pressure. Cracks in the pool plaster will be filled, and new spa jet therapies will be installed that comply with Health Department updated codes. Health Department also requires that the spa drains be relocated to the floor from the wall, so further demo will take place. Coping is still scheduled to arrive in the next couple weeks.

6/27/25 – This week, additional demo was completed in the spa in order to install the new therapies. The drains were relocated to the floor. The work for the therapies and split drains will be completed next week.

6/3025 – The coping, grout, and waterproofing will begin.

7/7/25 - City permits were approved and are in hand. Plumbing work was completed and successfully pressure tested. Coping is being delivered today and will be installed along with grouting and water proofing through July 18.

7/11/25: Coping installation and skimmer work is completed  

7/14/25: Installation of waterline tile has begun and will continue through next week. 

8/1/25: Waterline tile installed.

8/8/25: Lane line and stair tiles are installed.

8/18: The first load of base rock has arrived, and installation began today with forms being set for the apron. Alan Smith continued with setting rail and the ADA anchor, and materials are being staged in the parking lot. Please note that the parking lot will be inaccessible while materials are being stored there.

8/25/25 - Five handrails were reset, and forms are being set to prepare the aprons for concrete pour. 

9/3/25 - The aprons on all three bodies of water were completed, 12 pallets of Belgard pavers were delivered, and the base rock is being prepared for inspection.

9/8/25 - Both apron and pre-deck inspections passed, and groundwork was completed with bedding sand compacted for paver installation.

9/15/25- Compacting of the bedding sand has been completed, and the next few weeks will include laying the pavers. 

9/22/25- The paver work is progressing, with the fire pit area and the three pool areas paved. 

9/29- Work continues to progress with fine grading, along with installing and cutting pavers along the edges of the bodies of water.

10/6 : The paver work continued with crews setting the new pavers. Adjustments were made to accommodate the new irrigation lines and sprinkler systems while relocating deck components. Allusions Glazing began the fence installation with the placement of new glass panels.

10/13-  Paver work continued, with pavers laid in the entryway near the entrance. The sprinkler system work is ongoing, and the fencing crew is installing the remaining sections of fencing near the fire pit.

10/20 - Paver work is ongoing, and fencing installation is nearly complete, pending the arrival of the railing, with full completion expected by Monday. The pre-plaster inspection is scheduled for next week, and the 5HP spa pump is scheduled to be installed on Wednesday.
